Inspired by Danse Macabre

Jakadow and Zor lived with their mother originally, they were normal, frisky, lively wolf pups. One day on an outing with mum, they were captured and thrown into a cage. A man came in once a week with food and water, but after a while even that tiny amount of kindness began to disappear. He began to become violent with this family of scared and malnourished canines. He beat them, muzzeled them and deprived them of the nessecities they required to live. One day mother couldn't take it anymore, she scratched off her muzzle and broke free when the man came for his ritual beatings. The man was taken by ambush and a fight insued, the pups could only watch in horror as their mother and this man fought. The fight last for a long while and then there was the last burst. Mother tore out the man's jugular and he died shortly afterwards. The pups nervously left the cage and walked over to their injured mother. They cried when they saw her bleeding profusely and gouged over most parts of her body. She was crying too as she lay bleeding on the floor. She told them in her own way, to live for her, and live well... and then she died as no one ever deserves to. The pups cried and howled for help but no one heard and even if someone had, it was far too late. They scratched their muzzles off and pulled off their mother's collar. Jakadow, taking it as her responsibility, tried her very hardest to calm her sister. She took the collar and adorned herself with it.

"We're all we have now, Zori. We have to live for her." and so they have. Their minds twisted and filled with malice caused their joy from the pain of others, especially the humans. There would never be enough bloodshed to quell the pain from the loss of their mother...but it's a start.

The mother's pose on the top left was from an artist on theotaku.com, but she doesn't have the same account so iunno who to credit for that.
